Catch that shadow - record sheet
The key points to record are:
  • The time when you first see a 'bite' in the top right hand quadrant of the image of the Sun
  • The time when you see the last 'bite' disappear.
Everyone involved must synchronise their watches. To do this, listen to BBC Radio news at 8 and 9 am. The last pip is the exact hour.
