The eclipse will last only two and a half hours. There will not be another one visible from North Yorkshire for a very long time. The eclipse will begin about 10 o'clock and last until midday.
Your senses, brainpower and memory are the best recording system you have. Do not waste time trying to take photographs unless you are very experienced. Use sketches, words and phrases, which will jog your memory and feelings in the future.
