Event preceding first AF | Hockey tournament (stopped during a game; stress from organizing all) |
---|
General health | Excellent; athletic; drinker (1 bottle wine about 3 times a week) |
---|
Current state | Recovery from ablation that aggravate my AF |
---|
Triggers | Majority: getting in bed; sleep
Minority: stress, vagal stress |
---|
Preventions | Exercise |
---|
Current medications/side effects | Amiodarone (cordarone): deposits o cornea, insomnia
Avapro TM: for hypertension
Warfarine (coumadin): only for 3 weeks (post-ablation), none yet, wondering if it can trigger AF |
---|
Past medications/side effects | Sotalol: extreme bradychardia (<40 bpm) |
---|
History of surgery | Ablation done in Québec on march 17, 2005. Still on recovery. Actually my AF episodes are very more often. Before ablation: about ten hours, each two weeks (twice a month). After ablation: about 26-30 hours, each two days. First time, I see someone for whom AF was aggravated by ablation (I pretty read much of the current medical litterature). First time my electrophysiologist see this too |
---|
Future plans | Appointment with EP, april 11. Considering new medication or new ablation. I'm pretty much bewildered. |
---|
Personal comments | I thought my ablation would have killed AF. So i am a bit disappointed. But we'll see. |
