General health | good , non smoker, non drinker |
---|
Current state | i just had one episode about 10 days ago lasted abour 15 minutes then it went away |
---|
Triggers | the first few time it was caused only by drinking alcohol. Thereafter it started also by heavy eating and lately no cause at all. 90% of the time it occured at night or early morning hours. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT MOST OF THE TIME I WAKE UP FEEL THE FASTR HEART RATE AND WITHIN MINUTES THE FAST HEART RATE CAUSES PULMONARY ADEAMA AND HAVE TO GO THE EMERGENCY HOSPITAL. |
---|
Preventions | Not drinking alcohol, caffein, not going to sleep after eating |
---|
Current medications/side effects | provacol, zetia, altace, cardezim, sotalol, aspirin(adult)
sotalol causes sexual dysfunction and therefore I stopped it. |
---|
Past medications/side effects | I been on Stalol since the inception of Afib, until yesterdayand stoped becasue it did not work anymore and causes sexual side effects. |
---|
History of surgery | none |
---|
Future plans | eperiment with different medication until I find one which slows the heart rate down to a point that when I get the Afb it wont cause pulmonary andema. |

Personal comments | This illnes changes your entire life style. I love to travel but now I am concerned, I have to stay up for about 3 hours after I eat before I go to bed. I have to prop up my head in bed. This illnes just sucks big time. |
