Past medications/side effects | Started with digoxin at first, low dose. Currently on moderate dose which my cardiologist calls "subtherapeutic" because I metabolize high amounts without ill effects. Was on Beta Blocker for a time, but it made me drowsy. Higher dose of Cardizem caused edema.
Now on amiodarone temporarily after first RF ablation - results of ablation inconclusive, too soon to tell. |
---|
History of surgery | RF Ablation 9/9/08; instigated RF flutter which may need to be separately abated. |
---|
Future plans | Hope for the best! |
---|
Personal comments | AF episodes are part of my life now. However, if the episode exceeds about 15 hours I get extremely anxious, hyperactive, and paranoid - almost psychiatric symptoms. Fortunately it has always corrected itself without intervention, but it's hard to wait out those last few hours!
Good luck to all of you. |
