General healthVery good - non-smoker and non-drinker
Current stateNo heart disease
Triggerschocolate, MSG, Licorice, diet sodas, over abundance of sugar
PreventionsStaying away from the above list of triggers. Trying to eat healthy. Also on a multi-vitamin and the B complex, and Magnesium, Calcium Citrate
Current medications/side effectsAlittle dizzy when getting out of bed. I have to generally get up slowly and sit at the edge of the bed for a few seconds before getting out of bed.
My meds are Diltizem, coumadin,a very small dose of atenolol. Being Vagal I know that atenolol is not recommended but I take 12.5mg and it seems to keep the extra beats away. I also take magnesium, calcium,a multi-vitamin w/o iron. I also eat whole raw almonds a I understand it contains magnesium and they are good for you.
Past medications/side effectsWas on Tambocor for short time, but it gave me a problem with my eyes.
Also, Digoxin was my first medication. Since I found out that Iam of the Vagal type, I stopped the Digoxin.
History of surgeryTonsilectomy at 13yrs of age
Personal commentsThe meds I take keep me comfortable and able to go on with my normal activities when I go out of sinus rhythm so as to cope with it until I convert back to NSR.
I try not to eat anything past 7:00 p.m. while eating three meals without gurging myself as well and keeping within the healthy food groups.
