Probably dehydration and/or caffiene. Lately I've had good results drinking a minimum of 1 gallon h2o / day.
But last week went on a chocolate eating binge. Forgot to drink enough water on Sunday. Woke up Monday a.m. with afib. |

Current medications/side effects | atenolol 6-7 mg. once daily( about 1/4 of 25mg tab)
(unless afib hits, then I go to 75 mg. while in afib)

Past medications/side effects | lopressor at e.r., The last time it didn't have any effect.
Hence cardioversion.

Personal comments | Maybe I maxed out my heart rate too many times
in my earlier years.
I used to run in the hills. My heart rate would stay very high.
I also used to use a rowing machine and stationary bicycle.
I would sometimes keep my heart rate at 205 for 15-30 minutes every few days.
