Personal comments | I first had a-fib as a college athlete (swimming, water polo). The doctors said not to worry that lots of people have it. I could usualy convert myself back by bending over or scrunching up into a ball( if I was in the water).. At age 36 I had my first prolonged case of a-fib which lasted for 30 hours and was converted by a procainamide drip. My most recent bout was 1 week ago (4/01) with the same duration and outcome. I no longer swim in the ocean or surf by myself. I am unable to give up my morning coffee and my evening wine.I belive that I will beat this because I am INDESTRUCTABLE! |
