Future plansHoping that once my thyroid medication is balanced the AFib will clear up.

Possibly pay privately to see a proper EP as I currently see a general medicine doctor with an interest in Cardiology who seems to have no interest in me. I need to get my AFib managed more effectively.
Personal commentsDoctors don't seem to appreciate the devastating effect that Afib can have on a patient and their family. It is so unpredictable and scary. It is difficult to think of anything else since I was diagnosed 4 months ago. I don't want to go out or make plans because I am afraid of an episode. I'm scared to lie down in bed and sleeping propped up is uncomfortable. Anxiety is causing insomnia and depression. My quality of life on bisoprolol is pretty bad - I feel like a zombie. I'm not happy that I'm just being treated as a routine case by the NHS and have been given very little help or information and that I'm not even important enough to be assigned a proper cardiologist.
