Future plans | I am awaiting an appointment with my local cardioligist. i have seen one privately in 2006 who felt sure my af was due to my hiatus hernia diagnosed in 1997 ekg showed my heart muscle to be 10% larger than usual probably due to the cardio exercise i do (running, cycling etc...) and i also have non specific t wave flattening (whats that then?) |

Personal comments | when the af first began i thought i was going to die i visited my gp but by the time i got there it had converted and appeared normal, i was sent home made to feel a fraud on the next occassion i had a 24 hour holter tape that recorded a couple of blips but nothing significant. eventually i got to the emergency room and they made a record of a full blown af with rates from 40 up to 200 bpm. my af always was erratic but fast, it has changed and is now all over the place with no rythm whatsoever the rate will go extremely low and then come bounding back (happening as i type). i am now at a loss for what to do next, my job requires me to be fit when i am not in af i am fine when it hits i feel like death. for info my resting heart rate is approx 44 - 48 bpm all suggestions greatly appreciated. |
