General health | Very fit (except for the hypertension), non smoker, enjoy the odd beer. Have gout but under control and no attack for several months. |
---|
Current state | Currently in NSR with frequent ectopics. |
---|
Triggers | Eating heavy meals late at night.
Too much alcohol |
---|
Preventions | If I have had a late meal I will try to stay awake as long as possible because all of my episodes happen when I am asleep. |
---|
Current medications/side effects | Sotalol 80 mg - slow pulse
Aspirin 75 mg
Valsartan 80mg for hypertension
Indapamide 1.5mg for hypertension
Allopurinol 100 mg for gout
Co Q10
Cherry extract for gout (brilliant) |
---|
Past medications/side effects | Amioderone - horrible drug. Took it for about 2 weeks only.
Atenolol |
---|
History of surgery | None |
---|
Future plans | Changing from Sotalol to Flecainide with Bisoprolol within the next 2 weeks as suggested by my Cardiologist.
Cardiologist also suggested a PVIA which I will give serious conseration to if the Flecainide doesnt work. |
---|
Personal comments | Whe I first had AF episodes I used to get really worried. Now I see them as a nuisance which can make things like travelling overseas a problem as you are always wondering if the 'devil' is going to show up. |
