Preventions	Getting up and moving around to increase HR when palpitations begin (usually have palpiations before onset of fib). Changing position.
Current medications/side effects	Acebutolol (Sectral) Lipitor Asprin Avalide Potassium Vitamins - multiple, folic acid, C
Past medications/side effects	Norpace - prolonged QT, extreme fatigue, chest discomfort, hyperdynamic heartbeat. Metoprolol - extreme fatigue, couldn't exercise. Didn't prevent fib anyway!
History of surgery	Infarcted omentum Hysterectomy
Future plans	Scheduled for ablation at MUSC Charleston but concerned over potential adverse complications. Seeking second opinion at Cleveland Heart then will decide whether to go ahead or wait until procedure is safer. Time (my age) is against waiting too long. Scheduled to see my GYN to see if this is triggered by hormones. May try progesterone.
Personal comments	Wish there was more effort put into researching etiology of this horrid problem rather than just treatment. It would be nice to correct the underlying problem (electrolytes, hormones, for example).
