Triggers | I still have not developed a pattern of triggers, but I am keeping a diary. Sometimes, alcohol triggers, other times, it does not. Overeating, sometimes. Overdoing physically, sometimes. |

Preventions | I have tried the following, sometimes successful. 2-3 Tums. Running up and down stairs a few times. Lying down on my right side (never left side). |

Current medications/side effects | Tenormin (25mg, morning and night) Fosamax, 70mg, 1x/wk. for Osteoporosis. Lipitor, 10mg, 1x @ night for high cholesterol. Prilosec, 20mg, 1x each morning for reflux. Flovent and Serevent, 2 puffs each morning to control mild Asthma. No noticeable side effects from any of the medications. |

Personal comments | I had an Afib event in January 2001, 180bpm, lasted ~24 hrs.
Went to ER overnight. Sent home with Tenormin (had been taking 1 Aspirin, previously). No more episodes until October, 2001, when palpitations started. Repeated good results from Stress Test, Echocardiagram, Blood work, Holter Monitor (naturally, no episodes in 24-hour period). |
