Past medications/side effects | I took Cumadin (Warfron) for about two years to avoid stroke. But, the medication caused internal cranial bleeding. Since then I have stayed with 81 mg asprine. So far so good.
Also, I took digoxin (lanoxin) for a time. My PCP advised against it. He indicated that there is research indicating digoxin effects the heart walls, making them less flexible over time. I refused amiodarone (cordarone, pacerone)after learning the side effects. I hate the side effect of any medication. |

Personal comments | AF is a mystery for me. It began suddenly and has persisted regardless what lifestyle changes I make. But I am learning how to live with it. Some days are almost symptom-free; others are full of episodes of rapid pulse and mild discomfort. I find that my AF is very unpredictable. |
