Personal comments | I finally had to get with the program for fear of stroke. The cardizem doesn't revert the A-fib, but it makes it less onerous. I'm a little breathless and sluggish starting out, but find that after 5-10 minutes I can jog and play tennis nearly as well as formerly. My endurance isn't what it was, however. I find that sometimes after a couple of days of A-fib an hour or so of leisurely tennis will send me back into a sinus rhythm.
[A note of caution for those taking amiodarone. I have been informed by my brother-in-law, who is a reputable neuro-ophthalmologist, that amiodarone is a very dangerous drug which in sufficient dosage or duration of dosage can severely harm the optic nerve.] |
