Catch that shadow - calculations - how you do it
Speed = Distance moved
Time taken
Distance between school A and school B is 60 miles measured on the OS map.
Time taken for shadow to move from school A to school B is
10.05 - 10.03 = 2 minutes
Speed = Distance moved = 60 miles = 30 miles
Time taken 2 minutes per minute
Speed of moon's shadow in this example = 30 x 60 = 1800 miles per hour
